COTABATO CITY — On 25 July 2025, a meeting was held between the Independent Decommissioning Body (IDB) and the Third-Party Monitoring Team (TPMT) to discuss the status of the ongoing peace process in the Bangsamoro region. The discussion focused on updates regarding the decommissioning process and the Putting Weapons Beyond Use (PWBU) initiative.

The IDB remains steadfast in its mandate to oversee the decommissioning of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) forces and weapons. This work is vital to creating an enabling environment in Bangsamoro, allowing former combatants to transition to productive civilian lives. In accordance with the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), the IDB continues its mission, contributing significantly to the stability and development of the region. #MAM
