IDB HOLDS MID-YEAR ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING WORKSHOP
16 August 2019
COTABATO CITY – Celebrating accomplishments, identifying gaps, developing action plans, and strengthening teamwork served as the rationale of the Independent Decommissioning Body (IDB) in conducting its Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop last August 6-8 at Mt. Sabrina Panoramic View and Resort, General Santos City.
Participated by 92 IDB staff members from its different sections and units, the three-day activity facilitated by the Operations, Planning, and Training Section (OPTS) aimed at evaluating what has been done for the first half of 2019 and identifying IDB’s plans for the remaining half of the year. The said activity also equipped the staff members with the overview of the timeline of activities in preparation for the forthcoming decommissioning process which is expected to commence this month.
Cooperation and coordination were also developed and strengthened among the IDB staff members through a team-building activity and a solidarity night organized by an AdHoc Team.
Overall, the activity deepened the understanding of the IDB personnel on the decommissioning process as well as their respective roles in ensuring the over-all success and smooth conduct of the endeavor. It also showcased the inter-section/department collaboration within IDB which is a key to a well-coordinated plan of activities.
This event marked IDB’s very first Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop that will be sustained henceforth. Further, this workshop affirmed IDB’s readiness to fulfill its mandate in accordance to the agreement reached by the GPH and MILF. //CRA
