IDB Board holds 4th regular Board Meeting for 2020

COTABATO CITY (05 January 2020) – Last 04 December 2020, the Independent Decommissioning Body (IDB) Board led by its Chairman, HE Fatih Ulusoy (Turkey), virtually convened and successfully conducted its fourth board meeting this year via Zoom video teleconference (VTC).

Present during the said board meeting were Vice-Chairman William Hovland (Norway), LtCol Amilin bin Haji Mohamad Gani (Brunei), GPH Representatives (Ret) LtGen Rey Ardo and Prof. Mario Aguja, MILF Representatives Jannati Mimbantas and Jack Abas, and Chief of Staff Einar Aas. The IDB Board mainly discussed the draft Verification and Decommissioning Plan for Phase 3 which was prepared and finalized by the IDB Headquarters as a result of series of scenario building workshops. Towards the end of the meeting, the IDB Board also tackled the conduct of its Year-End Review to further assess the key accomplishments for 2020 and provide strategic guidance for the programs and activities for next year.

Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the IDB Board was able to adopt to the ‘new normal’ in having its regular board meeting which is pivotal in order for IDB to continuously fulfill its mandate in the Bangsamoro peace process efficiently and effectively. //CRA
