Independent Decommissioning Body (IDB) Strengthens Partnership with Australian Government for Peace in Bangsamoro

February 1, 2023 - The Independent Decommissioning Body (IDB) has recently held a meeting with the Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Her Excellency Hae Kyong Yu, PSM and a technical meeting with the Australian Embassy, as a sign of continuous commitment of support for the peace process in the Bangsamoro region.

The recent meetings aimed to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the decommissioning process and the crucial role of international partners in supporting the peace process. The meetings highlighted the importance of ensuring that the decommissioning process is inclusive, transparent, and sustainable, and that it contributes to the long-term peace and stability in the region.
